<p>26 ก.ย. 2566 ในเวทีสาธารณะ "สื่อพลิกผันในสถานการณ์พลิกขั้ว" นำเสนอการทำงานของสื่อภายใต้ความเปลี่ยนแปลงทางการเมืองในช่วงตั้งแต่ปี 2557-2566 ทั้งกรณีที่สื่อถูกละเมิดสิทธิเสรีภาพจากการทำงานข่าวไม่ว่าจะเป็นการคุกคามทางกายภาพ การถูกดำเนินคดี ไปจนถึงความไม่ปลอดภัยในการทำงานที่ไม่มีมาตรการคุ้มครองจากที่ทำงาน</p>
<p>ช่วงหนึ่ง จุฑารัตน์ กุลตัณกิจจา ผู้ช่วยวิจัย โครงการวิจัยการรายงานข่าวการประท้วง: 
บทบาทของสื่อมวลชนไทยในการชุมนุมและความรุนแรงทางการเมือง นำเสนอ ถึงแนวทางในการจับตาความรุนแรงทางการเมืองของสื่อว่า ในฐานะที่ตัวเองเป็นอดีตนักข่าวภาคสนามของประชาไทในช่วงที่มีสถานการณ์ม็อบราษฎรช่วงปี 2563-2564 ที่โรงแรมไอบิส สไตล์ รัชดาฯ </p>
<p>“แม้ว่าจะพยายามทำตามที่ฝึกอบรมแล้วแต่ก็ยังมีนักข่าวของเราเจอความรุนแรงอยู่ดีก็คือคุณศรายุทธ (ตั้งประเสริฐ) ที่โดนกระสุนยางแต่ว่าสิ่งที่ถูกโต้แย้งกลับมาว่าเราเผชิญความรุนแรงคือ คุณยืนอยู่ผิดที่ผิดทางเข้าไปโดนลูกหลงเองอะไรแบบนี้ซึ่งนี่ก็เป็นส่วนหนึ่งที่ทางเราพยายามขอให้สอบสวนเอาผิดทางคดีแต่ก็ได้คำตอบกลับมาว่าเจ้าหน้าที่ปฏิบัติงานได้แบบถูกต้องแล้วแต่เป็นนักข่าวที่ไปยืนผิดที่ทำให้โดนลูกหลง”</p>
<p>จุฑารัตน์ กล่าวถึง ปัญหาที่ทำให้การสอบสวนเอาผิดไม่คืบหน้าและเมื่อคดีไปถึงศาลแพ่งก็ยกฟ้องทั้งที่ไม่มีการไต่สวนข้อเท็จจริงที่เกิดขึ้น</p>
